The Designer of the Macao Pavilion in 2010 Expo will join the exhibition

Recently, it’s affirmed from Chinese and Western Cultural Creativity Industry Promoting Association (Macao) that the famous architect Mr. Carlos Marreiros who is the designer of the Jade Rabbit Lantern in Macao Pavilion of 2010 Expo, vice president of Asia of Architects Regional Council Asia, Chairman of the Macao Institute of Architects will join hands with the models of the rabbit lanterns from over 80 contemporary artists and designers in more than 20 countries to participate in the awards events. “Contemporary artists original environmental protection art works Exhibition” which jointly held by the sponsor of “Sustainable – Comfortable Space —2011 Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for Elite”-Asia Pacific Designer Center(APDC)and Chinese and Western Cultural Creativity Industry Promoting Association (Macao).

 

As a demonstration project in the exhibition, we will invite Mr. Carlos Marreiros as our art director to present various models of rabbit lantherns with environmental and sustainable materials. And with the conception of environmental, low-carbon and sustainable, we should fully use colourful and creative designs to bring Chinese tradition back to modern life in this occasion of the Lunar Year of the Rabbit in China which we think will provoke the public attentions of Chinese historical culture and creative ideas. This exhibition will be held in mainland China, Macao, Hongkong, Taiwan and other regions in turn and the aim of the exhibition is to encourage the original spirits in design industry and present the miraculous art charms when people are focusing on the “green”of the earth.
