Wuxi Municipal People's Government invited, President of APDC Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for Elite committee, Former President of IFI, and Asia Pacific Design Center President Mr. Claude Bérubé with awards participating designers to attend " Wuxi City first Home Creative Design Exhibition" on September 26th 2011. APDC awards participating designers represented Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. 

During the opening ceremony, President Claude Bérubé had a cordial exchange with Wuxi city CPC Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Zhu Kejiang and Standing Committee of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Information and Vice Mayor Wang Guozhong. They also had meaningful discussion on the future directions of Wuxi cultural and creative industry. 

President Claude Bérubé said Asia Pacific Design Center will fully support and contribute to the development of the cultural creative industry in Wuxi in the future and will actively promote multi-faceted exchanges with the world creative industry.

In their desire to make Wuxi a major Creative Hub in China, Mayor Zhu Kejiang and President Claude Bérubé agreed to set-up the necessary programs to assist the Wuxi Government in becoming the third International UNESCO City of Design with Shanghai and Shenzhen.
