The Award Ceremony of 2014/2015 Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for Elite with the theme Celebrating Creativity was grandly held in Jinling Hotel near Yangcheng Lake in Qunshan, China on October 25, 2015, which was organized by APDC Asia Pacific Design Center. 

The solicitation and organization of this year’s event is greatly supported by SIDIM, Grands Prix Du Design in Canada, Taiwan Creative Design Center, Golden Pin Design Award, Shanghai Creative Industrial Center, Kunshan Creative Design Center and Kunshan Design Institute and other organizations. 

Mr. Claude Bérubé, the founding president of APDC Asia Pacific Design Center, Past-President of International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers(IFI); Mr. David Grossman, the elect president of Ico-D (International council of Design); Ms. Stephanie Clemons, the president of American Society of Interior Designers; Mr. Denis Chouinard, the president of Interior Designers of Canada; Ms. Naning Adiwoso, one of the founding members of Indonesian Society of Interior Design; Ms. Claudya Piazera, the former president of Brazil Design Center; Mr. Patrick Fang, vice president of Asia Pacific Design Center and former chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association; Mr. CAO Yang, the general secretary of Kunshan Creative Center and other celebrities in the domestic and foreign design community attended the award ceremony and presented awards to winning designers. Winning designers came from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan, Macao, Thailand, Malaysia, Canada and other places in the world. 

Celebrating Creativity-New Horizon is this year’s theme. APDC recognizes that designers’ creativity plays an essential role in building and sustaining our urban community and maintains it socially and economically healthy. Therefore by celebrating the Creativity of its members, APDC wishes to promote, and support a sustainable economy that attracts businesses, investment, increases employment, and enhances our visual environment.

In the international arena, 2014/2015 Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for Elites have achieved cooperation with the internationally renowned Canadian GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN and Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award regarding sending and promoting projects to each other. And we expect to bring more designers to the international stage as well as share the latest great foreign design projects. 

While we celebrated award ceremony of 2014/2015 Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards for Elite, there is inspiring news from Montreal of Canada. APDC AWARDS has reached closer cooperation with the famous design event “GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN” in North America and we will hold events jointly in Asia to introduce more brilliant Chinese designers to the international design community. And we will help Chinese designers to promote themselves in the international community. 

Based on the latest cooperation between APDC AWARDS and GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN, gold prize winning projects and big single awards will be sent for review of local Canadian judges of GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN. And the final five selected Chinese designers will be invited to attend the award ceremony of GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN in Montreal in February of 2016 and receive award with Canadian designer. 

APDC Asia Pacific Design Center and APDC Asia Pacific Interior Design Award for Elite will continue endeavoring to assist Chinese designers’ promotion in the international design community.
